What is a ‘Clothes Swap’?  A clothing swap is an event where clothing items which are no longer needed or wanted, but are still of perfect wearable quality are simply exchanged for another fashion item.
It’s a great way to update your wardrobe without the expense and also lower your impact on the environment. The Creative Collective is an environmentally conscious local business, who support local makers and artisans. We support projects that support the environment and with the impact the fast fashion industry has on the environment, a local clothes swap is a simple and effective way for everyone to get involved and highlight how simple measures can make change.

Registration: Guests must register though our Eventbrite page or sign up at The Creative Collective. Once the registration fee is paid guests are able to deliver items to the Warehouse in exchange for swap tickets.
Swap Tickets: Clothing items will be exchanged for tickets on a one to one basis. Maximum number of items and tickets is 20. All tickets don’t need to be used and additional clothing will be available to purchase on the day.
Garment Drop: Dropping of garments can be done as soon as you register but must be dropped at the warehouse by at least 3pm the Saturday prior.
All clothes must be clean, in good repair and of a high quality.
Clothing items included – Adult clothing (any season) clothes and hats, sizes 6 – 16.
Please exclude – Shoes, jewellery, kids clothes
**If you wouldn’t give the item to a close friend – please do not include it.
Your items will be inspected at drop off to ensure quality of items are at a premium.
Please Note: Due to the nature of the event, varying sizes and quality of clothing, we cannot guaranteed an equal swap. Having fun on the day and being creative with your choices will help create a happy outcome. Remember clothing can be altered or selected as a gift for a friend, or even rethink the use of the fabric of the outfit.
Left over clothing:  We choose to support local community centre: Picabean Community Centre in Mitchelton, who offer a range of services for homeless and disadvantaged including education, food and clothing.
